14 quotes from LGBTQ+ authors and books that made my heart soar!!

If you didn’t know any better, June is celebrated as the “Pride Month” all across the world to highlight the beauty of the LGBTQ+ folks globally. While I don’t technically believe that love requires a specific day to be celebrated, the existence of Pride Month is more than just a form of expression.

It fights back the struggles, the oppression and the pain and wrath that the LGBTQ+ people face on a daily basis just because of their preferences and choices altogether. I am from a country where homosexuality got decriminalised this year itself and my heart warms up for all the people who smiled because loving someone for them is not a crime anymore.

To celebrate this beautiful month of self expression, love and rainbows, I thought I would share a list of the best quotes from some of the LGBTQ+ based novels that I have read in my 24 years of life. I wouldn’t call myself a bibliophile because I don’t get half the time that I would prefer to have my concentration on a book but I definitely love to cherish every book that I have read to this day, be it a paperback or even on the digital means.

Coming back to the main point around, here are some of my favourite quotes from some of the LGBTQ+ novels for you to look into.

These are some of my favourite quotes from some of the best LGBTQ+ authors and books that left me thinking. I still can’t stress enough how important it is for us humans to be accepting and to love people irrespective of their choices and preferences.

It is their life, their love and their sexualities. All you need to do is to be a little more accepting.
