If you didn’t know any better, June is celebrated as the “Pride Month” all across the world to highlight the beauty of the LGBTQ+ folks globally. While I don’t technically believe that love requires a specific day to be celebrated, the existence of Pride Month is more than just a form of expression.
It fights back the struggles, the oppression and the pain and wrath that the LGBTQ+ people face on a daily basis just because of their preferences and choices altogether. I am from a country where homosexuality got decriminalised this year itself and my heart warms up for all the people who smiled because loving someone for them is not a crime anymore.
To celebrate this beautiful month of self expression, love and rainbows, I thought I would share a list of the best quotes from some of the LGBTQ+ based novels that I have read in my 24 years of life. I wouldn’t call myself a bibliophile because I don’t get half the time that I would prefer to have my concentration on a book but I definitely love to cherish every book that I have read to this day, be it a paperback or even on the digital means.
