18 Quotes from Wuthering Heights that depict the pain behind love, betrayal, and yearning

For someone who loves reading romantic novels, stumbling across the masterpiece of Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë felt like a real awakening. I read it when during my high school days and I still remember the pain that my heart felt.

I remember having a mixed emotion of sorrow, heartbreak, and anger. The character development and the twists through the story left me on the edge of my seat throughout. But, it was the quotes depicting the desire and love, the pain and sorrow, that stuck with me.

Still, to this day, I love every single one of them. Rereading them through and through never gets old. I thought I’d share them with you as well.

This is my favourite of them all.
